A training institute does not sell a product, it asks for a 17-month decision. The site is built to make exactly that decision easier.

Context

F.I.T. trains animal physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors part-time, for dogs and horses. Theory runs live in a virtual classroom, the practical work happens in small groups with the animals, at locations in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Lower Saxony. The teaching is done by practitioners who run their own practices.

02

The brief

Anyone looking at a part-time qualification asks the same three questions: can I do this alongside my job, when does it start, and where do I have to be? If those answers are scattered across several pages, the visitor leaves before finding them. On top of that there are courses in several disciplines, each in two formats, evening and weekend, with different start dates and practical locations. Those combinations are the real reason sites like this become hard to read.

03

The approach

Each course has its own page with an overview card that gathers every hard fact in one place: start date per format, where the theory happens, where the practical happens, and how long it runs. The enrolment form sits directly beneath it, so the answer is immediately followed by the next step. The detail lives in tabs (content, schedule and dates, prerequisites, cost), which keeps the page short without leaving anything out. On the homepage the next start date leads, repeated site-wide by a notice bar. The instructors have their own profiles with qualifications and their own sites, because in training the people are the offer.

04

Execution

The site is built around the dates, because they are the one thing that keeps changing. The next start appears on the homepage, in the notice bar across every page and in the overview card of each course — and is edited in one place. The instructors get real profiles with qualifications, their own words and a link to their practice, rather than a row of interchangeable portraits. The surface stays calm: serif headings, generous whitespace, muted blue. Choosing a qualification is a decision about trust, and that does not tolerate loud design.
